Virtual hackathon to find solutions to sustainable tourism challenges

The CAST Virtual Hackathon will be held on 1-3 July 2020 and aims to identify effective answers to the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic poses to the tourism sector.

In this framework the focus will be on two main topics:

  • Business continuity in the tourism sector
  • New sustainable business models

Creative Accelerators for Sustainable Tourism (CAST) is an EU Funded project under COS-EINET-2017-3-04 call. The main objective of the action is to support the creation, business development and scaling-up of companies in the tourism sector through incubators and accelerators integrating creativity, art and design skill from the Cultural and Creative Industries with cutting-edge technology, science and other relevant expertise.

The Hackathon is organised by EBN in collaboration with the Creative Business Cup and EBN Member WestBIC (West Business Innovation Centre, Ireland).

EBN is a network of around 140 certified business and innovation centre and 40 other organisations that support the development and growth of innovative startups, entrepreneurs and SMEs.

Registration is open until 24th June and participants registered to the CAST Hackathon will obtain a free access ticket to all the sessions and meetings organised during the Bright Week.
